Support Your Library

You Can Make a Difference

Casey Cardinia Libraries mission is to encourage life-long learning, increase literacy and build strong resilient communities across the Casey Cardinia Region.

Casey Cardinia Libraries is largely funded by contributions from Cardinia Shire Council, City of Casey and the Victorian State Government.

We also receive support through partnerships with organisations like Windermere and Anglicare who fund dedicated programs designed to deliver better literacy outcomes in our community.

We welcome support from organisations and individuals who share our values and are willing to contribute to our vision and mission.

Donate

In Casey Cardinia, there are many older or vulnerable people who are unable to leave their homes and access their community. Worse still, they may be unable to afford internet, e-readers and computers to help the time pass and connect to others. Sadly, for many people in our community, this is everyday life.

With your support, these people can feel less alone. Since March 2020, our library has been delivering book bags, audio books, and digital services to people in their homes.  To continue the delivery service, we need your help.

Volunteer

If you would like to volunteer your time, energy and expertise, you may be able to help in a number of ways.

Join a Friends of the Library Group. Groups who support their local library.

Deliver books to our Home Library service customers. We are always on the look-out for people who can help with our Home Library Service.

Volunteer to assist in one of our regular programs such as homework club or after school STEAM clubs. We run a number of programs and activities that welcome volunteer contributions.

Bilingual volunteers

Share your language skills and culture while helping develop our multi-lingual storytime sessions.

This valuable role would provide excellent experience for those interested in a career in education, child care and children’s services, librarianship, public service, arts performance and much more.

To express interest in volunteering please contact us. You can download and read our volunteer policy here.

(please note that all volunteers who support Casey Cardinia Libraries will be interviewed and are required to undertake a police check)

Partner

Casey Cardinia Libraries understand the value of collaborative partnerships. We work with several organisations across the region to support a happier, healthier and more resilient community. We believe in ‘paying it forward’ and ‘looking after the neighbours’.

If your organisation is interested in establishing a partnership with Casey Cardinia Libraries we would love to hear from you. Please contact us here.
