National Simultaneous Storytime 2021

This year National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) takes place on Wednesday 19 May 2021at 11:00am from the International Space Station and we would love it if you could join us by sharing Give Me Some Space written and illustrated by Philip Bunting.  The book is available from our library catalogue and can be ordered on the Australian Library and Information website.

We’ll also be holding some cosmically fantastic events at some of our libraries, check out details below!

Everyone can join NSS, it doesn’t matter whether you are at home, at school, at a public library or even a university library, get reading and make this year’s NSS out of this world!

Join us for a space-tastic morning as we celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime with our friends from Mad About Science. We’ll have entertainment from 10:30am onwards with the storytime screening at 11am in the plaza!

So dress up as something you would find in outer space and join us to watch the special NSS Story Time televised live from the International Space Station at 11am!!

Join us as we prepare to lift off and watch on the big screen with the Australian Space Agency and the Office of the Chief Scientist!

This will be an intergalactic experience with this year’s NSS 2021 book being read by astronaut, Dr Shannon Walker from the International Space Station. 

Afterwards, continue to be dazzled with an amazing science show from our friends at Mad About Science.
