Libraries After Dark has arrived!  If you’re looking for something exciting to do on a Friday night, Pakenham Library is now open til 9pm on Fridays and has a fantastic range of activities and entertainment to give you a great start to the weekend!  Browse the events we have coming up below!

Family Fun – Friday Night Film And Games At The Pakenham Library

First Friday of every month in 2022.

Family movies, games and challenges are a great way to start the weekend at the Pakenham Library. Together you can enjoy a family friendly movie, play board games and GIANT GAMES, or participate in family challenges. Join friends and families for the fun.

First Friday of every month at 7pm, starting in 2022

Looking to expand your reading and meet other book lovers? Join our Friday evening book group! Each month, members catch up and discuss a different title, provided by the library. The group is led by a staff member, so feel free to join in!

‘Regenerating Australia’ Documentary Screening & Panel
Friday 30th September, 7:00pm,
Pakenham Library

Join us for a screening of the newly released documentary titled ‘Regenerating Australia’ – 17-minute short film based on a four-month interview process with a diverse group of Australians who shared their hopes and dreams for the country’s future. Set on New Year’s Eve of December 2029, a news anchor is ending the nightly bulletin with a look back at the decade ‘that could be’; a decade that saw Australia transition to a fairer, cleaner, more community focused economy.

Following the screening will be a panel discussion of local sustainability experts and community advocates

Join us for a great evening with husband and wife team Fiona Harris and Mike McLeish, authors of ‘The Drop Off’ and ‘The Pick Up’, a hilarious, poignant and sometimes scandalous look at the lives of Lizzie, Megan and Sam. Three friends who formed an unlikely friendship at school drop off and whose lives are now inextricably entwined for good or bad.
