We recently asked you to take part in our Community Survey as a way of seeing how we can improve the service we provide to you. The results are now in and we would like to thank you all for taking the time to give us your input.
We were sincerely blown away be the response with more than 1200 people participating!
The feedback we were given in the survey told us that people are passionate about their library service and that people are overwhelmingly positive about their library experiences.
With the rapid growth in population and changes in the way people use libraries, we continue to face challenges but we firmly believe we are more than capable of accommodating the needs of our community.
Accessibility was one of the things that proved to be an important issue with people stating that car parking and proximity to public transport played a part in their visiting frequency.
People love the activities and programs that are freely available and are appreciative of the opportunity to learn and express themselves creatively. There is also a growing appreciation for our online resources being accessible 24/7, this includes the ability to place holds and the increased demand for eBooks and eAudio.
Our community have embraced the increased opening hours with more consistency placed on a 9am opening time on weekdays across our branches. People did state they would love longer hours and more branches open on weekends.
In closing, the feedback we received in regard to our staff has been fantastic. You love our friendly and approachable staff and place a high value on being welcomed at our branches.
