Acting Pakenham Library Manager

Classification – Band 6, 35 hours per week
Limited Contract: 28th March to 30th September 2022
Salary range: $91,673.93 – $99,816.43 (pro rata)  + super

As part of the regional leadership team, you will ensure that CCL provides outstanding visitor experiences and build capacity in our communities. You will manage the collections, programs, services and facilities at Pakenham Library and foster relationships throughout the community.

This is a contract full-time position at a Band 6 level (35 hours per week). The position will run from Monday 28th March to Friday 30th September, with the possibility of extension.  It includes one evening shift per week, one Saturday shift in four weeks and one Sunday shift in eight weeks. Secondments will be considered.

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

  • Proven experience providing positive leadership in a team-based environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A focus on the achievement of CCL strategic goals and plans
  • Experience in staff management and development
  • Demonstrated understanding of future trends in the Library and Information sector
  • Experience managing library collections
  • The ability to foster partnerships with external organisations that extend the profile, brand and service reach for CCL beyond the four walls of the branch
