Casey Cardinia Libraries are pleased to participate in the One Million Stars to End Violence project.
This project was initiated by Maryann Talia Pau in response to incidents of violence in our communities. Stars are woven out of ribbon, paper or other materials and each star is a representative of the light we can bring to our communities by ending violence in all its forms. It is an international movement with stars being woven in Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Europe and the USA.
Casey Cardinia Libraries have registered as a Star Weave Community. This means that we commit to making and collecting 10,000 woven stars before May 2017. We would like to extend an invitation for you to join us and help us to reach this goal. To play a part all you have to do is weave some stars and drop them off at one of our participating libraries: Pakenham, Narre Warren, Endeavour Hills, Hampton Park and the Mobile Library.
To get started, watch the instructional video below or download the print version. Happy weaving!
