16 Days Campaign - storytimes

This week four library branches will be taking part in the 16 Days Campaign, a global campaign dedicated to ending gender-based violence and raising awareness about the impact of violence against women.

During our storytime session we will be reading stories that challenge gender stereotypes and provide an excellent opportunity to challenge the traditional expectations society holds for boys and girls.

Books read may include:

Not all Princesses Dress in Pink by Jane Yolen

The Worst Princess by Anna Kemp and Sara Ogilvie

Belinda the Ninja Ballerina by Candida Baker and Mitch Vane

The Basket Ball by Esme Raji Copdell
