Cultural Benefits of Public Libraries - Online Survey

Public libraries and culture - what is the connection?

Culture is broader than the 'arts', and may include literacy, local history, storytelling, multimedia and community activities.

The State Library of Victoria and Public Libraries Victoria Network invite you to complete an online survey to help answer:

  • What role does your library play in the cultural life of your community?
  • How often do you attend a cultural activity at your library?
  • Do you use your library’s collection, spaces or services to enhance your own creative pursuits?
  • How can libraries support the development of a vibrant culture in their community?

Even if you do not attend cultural activities at your library, we encourage you to have your say - your views are important. Please note that you must be over 15 years of age in order to participate, and all information provided remains confidential.

The survey is now open at www.surveymonkey.com/s/Culturebenefits2 and will run until Thursday 31 October 2013.
