Libraries Australia

Librariesaustralia is a project of the National Library of Australia. It lists books and other items held by many Australian libraries - a giant combined library catalogue. Not all libraries list their holdings with librariesaustralia - at this stage CCLC does not. From March 2006, anyone can search for items on librariesaustralia. You can search using this search box (below) or go to Libraries Australia at:     http://librariesaustralia.nla.gov.au

How can I obtain an item that I have found?

1.   Check whether the item is held by CCLC by searching our catalogue If it is, you can place a reservation for it online.

2.   If it isnt held by CCLC, but you have found a copy through librariesaustralia; it may be possible to request it through inter-library loan.

3.   Check our inter-library loan conditions

4.   Contact your local branch to place the inter-library loan request

Library LinkLibrary Link

Library Link is a Victorian Government initiative, to create a portal to allow Victorians to search
the catalogues of public libraries in Victoria through one search.  At present, 42 metropolitan and
97 country libraries from 14 library services are available to search through Library Link

How can I search for an item?
  1. Choose your profile - to search all Victorian Public libraries, select that profile
  2. If you don't want to search all those listed, deselect those you don't want - the catalogues that will be searched will be those with a tick in the box next to the library service's name.
  3. Enter your search terms.  It will take some time to bring back a result list, so please be patient.
How can I obtain an item that I have found?

1.   Check whether the item is held by CCLC - it will come up in your search results if it is.  If it does, you can place a reservation for it through our catalogue.

2.   If it isn't held by CCLC, but you have found a copy through Library Link; it may be possible to request it through inter-library loan.

3.   Check our inter-library loan conditions.

4.   Contact your local branch to place the inter-library loan request.
