ResearchLocal History ArchiveThe local history archive at Narre Warren Library exists for the
benefit of districts within Casey-Cardinia. It was established in 1990
as a repository for the former City of Berwick. It has expanded to
include the whole region and has files on families, community
buildings, historic
homes and more!
The materical can be consulted by appointment with the Local History
Officer. The collection includes maps, aerial photographs, newspaper
clippings, local newspapers, and photographs. Archive material may be
read in the adjoining local history room. Photocopying of most
materials can be arranged. Local Historical Societies are also
great sources of The Local History Officer manages the collection and is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm for advice about research, collection management, and historical inquiries. The officer works with local historical societies, the City of Casey and the Shire of Cardinia. The officer also provides talks and displays.
