The Local History Reference group meets quarterly and is comprised of delegates from the heritage groups in the Casey-Cardinia Region. Councillors represent the member Councils. The Local History Officer and Customer Services Manager represent the Library Corporation. This group serves as a forum for communicating developments in heritage work, both at a regional, state and national level. We have endorsed a regional Local History Information Technology Plan to work towards providing online access to museum and archive catalogues of collections in the region. Other achievements include managing a seven-year project to preserve the historic rate and minute books for the former Shires and Cities of Cranbourne, Berwick and Pakenham.
