About Doveton Library:
- Doveton Library began as a volunteer run library in the late 1960s.
- It became part of the newly formed Dandenong Valley Regional Library Service in 1973, becoming the 2nd library in that service.
- It then moved to its current location in 1983 - into a renovated service station.
- The library was renovated and extended in 2008.
