Hampton Park Library Extension

Work has begun on the Hampton Park Library Extension and the new Youth Centre, with the fencing off of the construction site.  The new building works will fill the space between the current library building and the Arthur Wren Hall next door and is expected to be completed by March/April 2010.

The extra library space, which will be 270 square metres will add additional space for collections, study, public computers and a teenage area. It will have the same look and feel as the current library, but will include additional features such as computer games consoles.

The construction process means that we have had to move some of our collection and htere will be less space available in the branch. We apologise for any inconvenience, but we need to make the work area safe and dust free. Any interruptions to the operations of the branch will be kept to a minimum as much as possible.
