Secondary School Work Experience

Connected Libraries is proud to offer a Work Experience Program for secondary school students.

Work experience is the short term placement of secondary school students. 
According to the Youth Central website, work experience provides benefits to students that include:

  • Getting experience to add to your resume
  • Learning what a job is really like
  • Getting a reference to use on job applications
  • Making contacts that could help you find paid work


Applications are open for 2024. If you are interested in gaining work experience within our libraries, please complete the online application form below.

  • Please provide up to three options. Placements are for one week only.
  • If no places are available at your chosen library, we will contact you to discuss alternatives. Please note that Bunjil Place Library is no longer taking applications.
